July 2003 - Site maintenance

The site has now been rehosted and is currently being updated. Please report any problems, suggestions and comments to webmaster@eliteclub.org.uk

New forum software has been installed. I am trying to see if it is possible to port the information from the old forums to the new system but encourage people to reregister rather than wait for this to complete.

The JJFFE section has had a small update to include downloads for the latest version.  The bug and news databases are online but are very out of date due to issues discussed previously on the site. The main concentration at present is to get eveything working then upgrade each section. 

Alternative Elite Projects

With the official Elite Club still some time off, you might want to look at some of the alternative projects which stem from the series of games. The new section "Elite Encounters" is dedicated to all tribute and spin off projects that the Elite series spawned. Many of them are groups of individuals from around the world dedicated to creating their own version of Elite or a game inspired by it. 

Some of these groups are open for additional members to contribute, so if you are itching to get involved in a project, feel free to contact the appropriate group. 

If you are running an Elite tribute/inspired project and I have not mentioned you, please email eliteprojects@eliteclub.org.uk with the URL of your project site. Anyone who would like their download files mirrored here please  email eliteprojectmirrors@eliteclub.org.uk and I will set up the mirror as soon as possible.
